Glossary
Expected value (EV).
Definition
The average value you get back per pack over many rips: each outcome's value times its probability, summed.
If a $25 pack has a 70% chance of a $15 card, 25% of a $30 card and 5% of a $150 card, its EV is 0.70×15 + 0.25×30 + 0.05×150 = $25.50. In practice EV is almost always below the pack price, because the platform keeps a margin.
Your realized EV is lower still if you sell back: multiply by the buyback rate.

Rip responsibly
Pulls are random and a card can be worth far less than the pack. Set a budget before you start and stick to it.
