Mystery boxes, explained.
How mystery box sites differ from card pack rips, what case battles are, and what the main sites offer. We don't list referral codes or rank these sites.
Fixed price, random item
Like a pack, but the pool can include phones, sneakers, watches or cards.
Odds and pools
Most sites show each box's possible items and odds before you open it.
Keep, sell or battle
Ship the item, sell it back, upgrade it, or put it into a battle against other players.

Mystery box questions
What is a mystery box site?
A site that sells boxes with random contents at a fixed price. Many publish each box's item pool and odds. You can usually keep, sell back, trade or ship what you pull.
How are mystery boxes different from pack rips?
Pack rip sites sell digital packs of real trading cards, usually graded. Mystery box sites cover a much wider range of goods, from phones to luxury watches, and often add battle modes. Some, like Boxed.gg, focus on cards.
What are case battles?
Two or more players open the same boxes, and the one with the higher total value takes the pulls. HypeDrop, Royale.GG, BigBux and Box Madness offer battle modes.
Are mystery box sites gambling?
They raise the same questions as pack ripping, and many add features such as battles and upgraders that look even more like gambling. Check the rules where you live and see our guide on whether pack ripping is gambling.
Rip responsibly
Pulls are random and a card can be worth far less than the pack. Set a budget before you start and stick to it.
