Free Pack Rips
Glossary

Pack ripping.

Definition

Buying and opening a pack online, where each pull is a real card or collectible the platform already holds.

On a pack ripping site you pay for a digital pack, an animation reveals one item, and that item is a physical card (usually graded) sitting in the platform's vault. You can keep it there, have it shipped, list it, or sell it back.

The term comes from the hobby habit of literally ripping open sealed packs. Online, the 'pack' is a randomized draw from a pool of cards the operator has stocked, priced from about $1 to several thousand dollars.

Rip responsibly

Pulls are random and a card can be worth far less than the pack. Set a budget before you start and stick to it.
