Glossary
Fair market value (FMV).
Definition
The value a platform assigns to a card, usually based on recent sales of the same card in the same grade.
FMV drives everything on a pack ripping site: the odds tiers, the advertised max pull and the buyback offer. Most platforms build it from marketplace sales data (eBay, PWCC, Goldin and their own marketplaces) with some smoothing.
Because each platform computes its own FMV, the same slab can carry different values on different sites. That's why a 90% buyback on one site can beat a 100% buyback on another.

Rip responsibly
Pulls are random and a card can be worth far less than the pack. Set a budget before you start and stick to it.
